Stars Shine in San Francisco
The Pro Bowl debuts its reimagined showcase while the college basketball landscape begins to separate contenders from pretenders.
Hey Team 👋
As Super Bowl week ramps up, football isn’t the only sport delivering the drama. The Pro Bowl takes center stage tonight with a revamped format that leans into skills, entertainment and fan engagement rather than its traditional full-speed competition, a shift that has sparked controversial reactions from both fans and players. Meanwhile, the college basketball season continues to take shape, with just two undefeated teams left standing and the Top 25 constantly changing.

Pro Bowl Fever

If you’re already itching for the Super Bowl, the Pro Bowl is here to hold you over. Tonight, the league’s top stars take center stage for a mix of skills competitions and an AFC vs. NFC 7-on-7 flag football showdown. But this year’s Pro Bowl looks a lot different from what we’re used to.
Traditionally held the weekend before the Super Bowl in a standard stadium, the Pro Bowl now takes place later in the week at the Super Bowl Experience in San Francisco, keeping all the excitement for the big game contained in one city. Meanwhile, the event seems to be moving further away from its competitive nature — and players have noticed, with a wave of notable withdrawals and replacements compared to past seasons. The effects remain to be seen: Will the revamped Pro Bowl bring more fun and fan engagement, or has it officially lost its luster?

Meanwhile, Tennessee surged back into the rankings after a statement win over Auburn, while Alabama dropped out of the Top 25 following a brutal 23-point loss to Florida.
