February Fever
With four of the nation’s top teams squaring off and the Winter Olympics closing ceremony in sight, February is finally getting interesting.
Hey Team 👋
Remember how I said mid-February is among the worst times of the sports calendar? Well, the “dead zone” of February just got a massive jolt of adrenaline. Now, every second counts, from the final sprints in the Winter Olympics to a "Super Saturday" of college hoops that looks more like a Final Four preview than a regular-season slate. Pop the popcorn, because this weekend is going to be a wild ride.

Week 15 Men’s College Basketball Rankings

Photo: TonyTheTiger / Wikicommons
Last week delivered a tectonic shift to the rankings, and as the dust settles, the "invincibility" club has been whittled down to a single, unlikely member. For nine weeks, Arizona looked untouchable at No. 1, but the Wildcats finally blinked…hard. Back-to-back losses to No. 9 Kansas and No. 13 Texas Tech sent them tumbling from their throne, leaving the college basketball world in a state of chaos.
Enter the new "Last Team Standing": No. 22 Miami (Ohio). With Arizona's fall, the RedHawks are officially the only undefeated team left.
Aside from the two top dogs, a few other teams saw major shifts in their positioning after last week. Purdue climbed six spots after beating No. 7 Nebraska and dominating Iowa. On the other hand, Michigan State and North Carolina each dropped five spots. The rest of the field quietly shuffled spots on the leaderboard.

Notable Week 16 Matchups

Plus, less high-profile matchups offer teams on the bubble a chance to break into the rankings.
