Draft Day Drifts & Playoff Shifts

Pittsburgh Brings the Noise to the NFL Draft While Underdogs Bring the Heat to the NBA Playoffs

Hey Team πŸ‘‹

Round 1 of the NFL Draft brought the heat. While Fernando Mendoza going first overall was the worst-kept secret in sports, nobody could have predicted how the rest of the draft would shake out. The back half of the round turned into a high-stakes stock exchange, with eight total trades, six of which ignited in the final 12 picks. But the real story might have been the host city itself: Pittsburgh turned the draft into a cultural phenomenon, drawing a record-shattering 320,000 attendees for the first round alone. While the Heisman winner was the first to go, the Heisman runner-up (Diego Pavia) ultimately went undrafted.

Cleveland dropped two straight on the road, allowing the Raptors to claw back and even the series at 2-2. Meanwhile, Orlando struck more magic and shocked No. 1 seed Detroit, taking a commanding series lead.
