Week 12 had a little bit of everything: Shakeups at the top, teams clawing their way back into relevance and a playoff picture that finally feels like it’s taking shape. With just two weeks remaining before conference championship season, the race is officially on. Week 13 features plenty of marquee matchups sure to shake up the playoff picture once again.

Week 13 AP Poll

Week 12 delivered plenty of turbulence across college football, but for most contenders, the playoff picture is finally starting to come into focus. Ohio State, Indiana, Georgia, Texas Tech and Notre Dame all notched statement wins, tightening their grip on postseason positioning. 

On the other hand, the Aggies narrowly escaped a scare from South Carolina, and Ole Miss held on late to avoid another back-to-back losses to Florida. Meanwhile, teams further down the rankings (like Miami) muscled their way back into the playoff conversation with big-time performances.

But not everyone made it out clean. Alabama, seemingly unstoppable ever since its puzzling Week 1 loss to Florida State, saw its run come to a stunning halt in a 23–21 thriller against Oklahoma.

With just two weeks left before conference championships, crunch time is officially here. Some teams simply need to hold steady and finish the job, while others will have to mount an all-out charge to keep their playoff hopes alive.
