Seattle Mariners vs Toronto Blue Jays (Mariners Lead 2-1)

Heading into the series, the Blue Jays were clear favorites. At home, they’ve been nearly unbeatable — until the Mariners came to town. Bryce Miller silenced the Jays in Game 1, allowing only two hits and one earned run over six innings. Then, in Game 2, Seattle’s bats picked up where the pitching left off. Though Logan Gilbert didn’t have the best start, the Mariners managed to put 10 runs on the board, thanks to contributions from every corner of the lineup.

But in Game 3, Toronto reminded everyone why they were favored in the first place. The bats came alive as the Jays piled up 13 runs. For most teams, that’s a lot – especially in the playoffs. For the Jays? Just another day at the office. Their offensive explosion trimmed Seattle’s lead to only one game and provided some much-needed momentum heading into Game 4.

Los Angeles Dodgers vs Milwaukee Brewers (Dodgers Lead 2-0)

This series feels like deja vu for the Dodgers, echoing their dominance against the Phillies. Los Angeles jumped out to another commanding 2-0 series on Tuesday with a 5-1 win.  In Game 1, Blake Snell set the tone by allowing just one hit through eight brilliant innings. Then Yoshinobu Yamamoto followed suit, going the distance in Game 2 and giving up only three hits in a complete-game gem.

It’s pretty hard to silence the Crew, but L.A. found a way. Will this series play out like the last one, or can the Brewers claw their way back?
