While most of this year’s soccer buzz has surrounded the World Cup, we still have a couple weeks to wait. Luckily, in the meantime, we get the Champions League Final.

The 2025-26 European club season reaches its dramatic climax this weekend in Budapest. In a matchup that pits the continent’s most potent attack against its most disciplined defense, reigning champions Paris Saint-Germain face off against newly crowned Premier League winners Arsenal.

PSG, under the tactical guidance of Luis Enrique, are looking to cement their status as the defining club of this era. After lifting the trophy last year with a dominant performance, the Parisians aim to become the first side in eight years to successfully defend their Champions League title.

On the other side, Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal are on a historic quest. Fresh off securing their first Premier League title in two decades, the Gunners enter the final unbeaten in this season’s Champions League campaign. For them, this is more than just a match: It’s their chance to finally conquer Europe and etch their names into club folklore after a 20-year wait.

The Thunder are officially knocking on the door of the NBA Finals.

In Game 5, OKC bounced back from a rough outing in San Antonio to take a 127-114 victory and a 3-2 series lead. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (who else?) was the engine behind it all, pouring on 32 points, while Alex Caruso provided a massive spark off the bench with 22. But they’re not the only players who deserve credit. Jared McCain stepped into the starting lineup in a pinch and dropped 20 points — not a bad way to make your first career playoff start.

Meanwhile, San Antonio just couldn't find its rhythm. Despite a solid 22-point night from Julian Champagnie and some gritty defensive efforts, they were chasing the Thunder’s pace all night. Victor Wembanyama did his best to rally the troops in the huddle, but OKC’s offense (which put up 82 points before the third quarter was even halfway over) proved too much to overcome.

The series shifts back to San Antonio this Thursday for a literal must-win for the Spurs. If they want to force a Game 7 back in OKC, they’ll need to find a way to contain the Thunder’s bench and stop the foul-line parade that helped define Game 5.
